Obstacles to Overcome

The number one obstacle not in our control is the weather. Since our primary event is annually held on Labor Day Weekend, we are subject to the whims of nature. Most of the time, the weekend weather is comprised of warm summer days and breezy autumn nights. However, the winds of change have been known to blow over the hilltop fairgrounds with sometimes uncomfortable results. From rain to wind to cold, we have had our share of inclement weather events during this late summer weekend. But the spirit of The Blandford Fair has yet to be broken by bad weather.

Another uncontrollable factor to our success is the economy. As we all are keenly aware, the economy can drive (or stall) more parts of our lives than we realize. We try to offer the best value to our patrons through exciting events, reasonable prices, and a safe environment for all. It is our sincere hope that our guests will decide that this Labor Day exhibition is worthy of their support, even in the tough times.
